Best Steak Marinade in Existence
I found this recipe at AllRecipes at the end of last week. I was planning on fixing steak and decided to nix the marinade I planned and try this one instead. With about 268 people reviewing it and giving it a 4 1/2 star over all I couldn't go wrong. I'm not a big steak fan. It's no heartache to me to pass it by. However, I have changed my mind. Using this marinade I loved our steak! I actually liked it so much that I was craving it the next day. If there's one meat marinade you try I would go with this one.
1/3 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup olive oil
1/3 cup fresh lemon juice
1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
1 1/2 TB garlic powder
3 Tb dried basil
1 1/2 TB dried parsley flakes
1 tsp. ground white pepper
1/4 tsp. hot pepper sauce (optional)
1 tsp. dried minced garlic (optional)
I did not use the hot pepper sauce or minced garlic. I left a lot of the marinade on the steak when I broiled it. Yum, Yum, and more Yum!
Place all ingredients in a blender. Add hot pepper sauce and garlic, if desired. Blend on high speed for 30 seconds until thoroughly mixed.
Pour marinade over desired type of meat. Cover, and refrigerate for up to 8 hours. Cook meat as desired.
